The Farmer's Blueprint:
The game begins when the player, leaving city life behind, acquires the concession to operate a farm in the countryside. The core objective is to operate, sustain, and grow this farm by leveraging strategic planning, deep resource and economic management, and the dynamics of automation and trade.
Real Strategy, Not Just a Simulation:
Farming Mechanics
Back to the Farm is a turn-based farming strategy game.
it is not a simulator: no boring truck driving or harvester driving, no walking simulations like going one warehouse to another; Clear, 2D isometric icon-driven UI with minimum animated scenes.
What is the system strategy:
The player's goal is not to do something, but to set up a certain system and try to keep the environment suitable for that system to work as well as possible.
Livestock Management:
A Core Business, Not a Sideline
In Back to the Farm, livestock management isn't a side gig; it's another major business. Once you decide which animals to raise, you'll begin by constructing their appropriate shelters and then acquiring your stock. From there, you'll need to carefully build out each and every single detail of their care;
Cows, sheep, goats, chicken, ostriches, quails, bees, horses and pigeons !
Crop Management:
Field crops are the foundation of our farm. In #BTTF, you’ll find a wide variety of crops to cultivate, including:
Grains & Cereals: Wheat, Barley, Corn, Rye, Oat, Millet
Oilseeds & Industrial Crops: Sunflower, Soybean, Canola, Flaxseed, Cotton
Roots & Tubers: Potatoes, Sugar Beet/Beetroot
Legumes & Pulses: Lentils, Chickpeas, Beans
Vegetables & Fruits: Tomatoes, Cucumber, Green Pepper, Strawberries
Sea Farming:
Now, let’s dive into a true game-changer for livestock management: aquaculture! This isn’t as simple as buying a coop of chickens for easy eggs—sea farming is a high-stakes, long-term venture, and our signature realism ensures every detail matters. Raise salmon? You’ll need mussels, too. They’re nature’s water purifiers, keeping your ecosystem balanced while boosting productivity. Welcome to the deep end of farming—where strategy meets sustainability :)
Niche Breeding:
Niche Breeding: Horses and Pigeons
Both horses and pigeons require meticulous breeding, dedicated care, and specialized expertise, evolving from mere animal husbandry into a sporting discipline. You can imagine these are quite expensive endeavors that could potentially earn you millions of Lumens. What do you say? Perhaps raising a noble racehorse or a champion racing pigeon could be far more intriguing than growing and selling tons of tomatoes?
Sea-farming
And yet, let's talk about another game changer in livestock management: sea farming! No, sea farming won't be as simple as buying 50 chickens to collect eggs. This will be a high-cost, long-term investment - and you'll find our signature realism here in every detail.
And we haven't even mentioned finance, banking, stock investments, equipment, vehicles, rentals, railroads, leasing, veterinarians, agronomists, or Fairs yet. Let's leave all these to the game!
Greenhouse Management:
Step into the world of precision agriculture with advanced greenhouse systems in #BTTF ! Cultivate rare plants, optimize growth conditions, and automate production to maximize efficiency. Control temperature, humidity, and irrigation to create the perfect ecosystem for high-value crops—whether it's exotic fruits, delicate herbs, or bioengineered superplants. Balance resources, research new technologies, and expand your sustainable empire to dominate the market. Will you become a pioneer of eco-friendly farming or an industrial powerhouse? The future of agriculture is in your hands!
Gardening Orchard Management:
This is orchestrated chaos at its most fruitful. In #BTTF, your orchard is a dynamic ecosystem where every tree has personality, every harvest tells a story, and nature fights back when ignored.
The Unwritten Rules of Your Grove:
Trees Remember – Neglect pruning? Your apple trees grow rebellious, dropping rotten fruit at will.
Underground Wars – Root systems compete for resources; plant wisely or watch your cherries wither next to thirsty peach trees.
The Great Pollination Game – Place beehives strategically or manually pollinate flowers with a trembling mini-game (one shaky hand = half-filled bushels).
